Whatever the truth, Saddell is the typical Highland Castle, built by the sea on the Kintyre Peninsula in Argyll. It was built in 1588 but by 1600 had fallen into the hands of the Clann Campbell. The walls are enormously thick, the views are amazing. Remote and atmospheric, this is your chance to have a real castle all to yourself.
